Argoshield Light from BOC Gases is an odourless hielding gas mixture ideal for MIG welding carbon and thin section alloy steels - stainless steel included. With the needs of occasional BOC gas users in mind, BOC gases is currently trailing it in small, 2 litre cylinders.

Argoshield Light has long-been used in industry where it is proven to deliver improved welding performance and reduce operating costs. The automotive and white goods' industries are particularly big users. They like its excellent fusion, low distortion and negligible spatter properties, all of which are critical to quality and optimal production processes. They also welcome Argoshield's low fume levels which make for a healthier, safer and more environmentally friendly workplace. Now, thanks to the introduction of a new 2 litre Argoshield Light high pressure cylinder pack trialling in store today, the occasional gas user can enjoy the same quality welding performance as these modern manufacturers. It's the same product only in a small, lightweight package giving approximately 30 minutes of weld time.*.

Argoshield Light is part of BOC's Argoshield range of gases containing argon (93%), carbon dioxide (5%) and oxygen (2%). Its moisture content is less than 8 ppm. It is effective for MIG welding of all grades of carbon and alloy steels from 0.5 to 4 mm thick. It can also be used on thicker materials provided the user is careful to ensure that the weld integrity is not compromised.
